A 99% peptide purity statement is most useful when it is tied to a method. In peptide listings, this often means HPLC area percent under a defined chromatographic method.

Without method context, a purity percentage can sound more complete than it really is.

Research-use only: the material is supplied for laboratory research, not for human or veterinary administration.

HPLC area percent compares detected peak areas under the chosen method. It does not necessarily account for every impurity, every salt, every solvent residue or every microbiological question.

Different columns, gradients, detection wavelengths and sample preparation choices can influence what is detected and how peaks are separated.

A high target peak does not automatically prove the exact molecular identity. Identity is commonly supported by mass spectrometry or other confirmation methods.
