General Terms and Conditions (GTC)

1. Scope and Contracting Partner

These General Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through this website. The contracting partner is Ruhmreich eCommerce GmbH, unless another seller is expressly named before checkout.

A consumer is any natural person who places an order for purposes that are predominantly outside their trade, business, or profession. A business customer is any natural or legal person acting in the course of a trade, business, or profession.

2. Research-Use Products and Restrictions

• Products are sold exclusively as research-use materials.
• Products are not intended for human consumption, veterinary use, medical treatment, food, supplements, or cosmetics.
• Use is limited to qualified personnel in suitable laboratory environments.
• Customers are responsible for checking whether purchase, import, possession, and use are lawful in their jurisdiction.
• Customers confirm that they are at least 18 years old when placing an order.

Chemical, physical, and toxicological properties may not be fully researched. We do not provide medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, legal, or professional advice.

3. Ordering Process and Contract Conclusion

Product listings on the website are invitations to place an order and do not constitute binding offers. The customer submits a binding order by completing checkout. Before submitting the order, the customer can review and correct the cart, address, and payment details.

An automatic order receipt message confirms that the order has been received. The contract is concluded when we accept the order, for example by order confirmation, payment instructions, or dispatch confirmation. Contract language is English.

4. Customer Account

• Orders may be placed as a guest where guest checkout is available.
• Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential.
• Account and order information must be accurate and kept up to date.
• We may restrict or close accounts in case of misuse, fraud, or material violations of these terms.

5. Prices, Discounts, and Payment

Prices shown in the shop include statutory VAT where applicable and exclude shipping unless stated otherwise. Cart discounts and free-shipping thresholds are calculated automatically in the cart and checkout.

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Bank transfer is processed as advance payment. Crypto payment is currently not available. Orders are processed after payment has been received and matched to the order reference.

6. Shipping and Delivery

• We ship with DHL to the countries offered at checkout.
• Standard EU shipping is EUR 8 unless a different amount is shown at checkout.
• Shipping is free from EUR 100 after applicable cart calculations.
• Orders are dispatched the same day once payment has been received and matched to the order reference.
• Delivery usually takes 4-6 working days, depending on the destination in Europe.
• Tracking information is provided after dispatch.

Delivery times are estimates and may be affected by carrier delays, public holidays, address issues, customs checks, or events outside our reasonable control.

7. Import, Customs, and Local Regulations

If delivery to a non-EU country is offered at checkout, import duties, taxes, customs clearance fees, or similar charges may be collected locally. These costs are the recipient's responsibility unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout.

8. Retention of Title

Goods remain our property until full payment has been received.

9. Withdrawal Right for Consumers

Consumers generally have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. The withdrawal period begins when the consumer or a third party named by the consumer has received the goods.

The withdrawal right may be excluded for sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health-protection, hygiene, safety, or contamination-control reasons if the seal has been removed after delivery. We therefore cannot accept returns of opened, unsealed, damaged, or otherwise compromised sealed research products.

To exercise a withdrawal right where available, contact us by email at contact@ruhmreich-peptides.de and clearly state the order and the decision to withdraw. The customer bears direct return shipping costs unless mandatory law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise.

10. Lost, Damaged, or Incorrect Shipments

If a shipment is lost in transit, arrives damaged, or contains an incorrect item, contact us promptly with the order reference and supporting information. After review, we may replace the affected item, resend the shipment, or refund the affected amount. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

11. Warranty and Liability

Statutory warranty rights apply. Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, injury to life, body, or health, or liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law. Liability for improper, unlawful, or non-research use is excluded to the extent permitted by law.

12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the consumer's country of habitual residence remain unaffected where applicable. For merchants, legal entities under public law, or special funds under public law, the place of jurisdiction is our registered office where legally permissible.

The European Commission's former Online Dispute Resolution platform has been discontinued. Information on consumer redress in the EU is available at https://consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu/. We are not obliged and not willing to participate in consumer dispute settlement proceedings before a consumer arbitration board, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
